I have a razr maxx with ICS, no task killers or other automated power saving apps. Last night I let it run down lower than normal about %15. I put it on the charger and this morning it was only up to %32 and really hot. I tried another charger, (we have 2 razrs) and it appears to be charging normally but there is one odd thing. Under the battery usage details it shows it is/has been running on battery power for 14+hours even though it has been on and off the charger and turn off several times. I even wiped the system cache. Any ideas how to reset this? I like using the time on battery reading as a gauge to see how my battery is holding up under different types of use.

Go in and Clear out the Battery History Cache.. Then do a Soft Reset..
Thanks clearing the cache and letting it charge to 100 percent did the trick.
i choose to charge with the phone off with the wall charger.
you didn't mention if you're using the usb or wall charger.
i'm aware that "charge only" has been removed but phone will charge in "mass storage".
