Sync errors with email accounts?

I have 2 email accounts set up on my phone, both have been working fine, until today. For some reason, neither account is "synced" anymore. My phone is telling me there is a sync error and I have to re-validate my accounts. Ok, no problem. So I try to enter my user name and password, but it keeps telling me that "the password and username you entered did not authenticate with your email provider. Please try again." I know my username and pw are correct. I haven't had any issues logging on to my emails from my computer. I keep trying but no success. I'm getting annoyed, as like many of you, my phone is my primary means for communication.
Has anyone else encountered this problem, specifically beginning today? I didn't see any update notices show up, so I'm not sure what happened.

I've tried to remove my email accounts from my phone, but no luck either. The phone is telling me" an error has occured. The operation could not be completed." It then jumps back to the above and wants me to re-validate my information.

Same thing here, tried removing account to reinstall but can't remove.

Yep yep, just got my phone today...all my contracts ported over just fine but don't have a clue why I can't get email. Don't know if it's because I'm old and still use AOL. I also tried removing the account, but get that "can't complete this action" message. Kind of a bummer when you drop a few bills on a new phone and I can't even check email.

Have the same issues. Started as early as the 28th. Cannot delete email acct or authenticate passwords for email with AOL or Live or Gmail. Clearly appears to be a problem with Verizon or with the Razor. What does Verizon have to say?

I have the same issues. Same messages stuck in a loop about not being ablt to remove accout, "an error has occured", asking me to re-validate but password doesn't work even though I know it is correct.
I also tried logging into my verizonwireless.com account and then changing my "Profile" email address to myusername@yahoo.com and then waited to receive confirmation email at yahoo. I received that email so I then went back to verizonwireless.com and changed my "Profile" email address to myusername@aol.com. I changed it to my aol.com email account on Friday but I'm still waiting from the confirmation email from verizonwireless to my aol.com account - still have not received it. I expect that once I receive the confirmation email I can then click on the confirmation link and then try to re-sync my Droid with verizon.
I was able to create a 2nd email account on the Other section.

Same problems here. This is my first smartphone, so I do not have a clue about how to fix the problem. I have not been able to consistently get my Hotmail account to sync since I got the phone a few days ago. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. I am prompted to enter my password and then it tells me it is an "incorrect password". What the heck?! I have had the same password since I originally entered it on this phone. Very frustrating as Hotmail is my primary e-mail account!
The Gmail account seems to be working okay. I just sent myself a test e-mail from Hotmail via my laptop and it came through right away on the phone.
Please advise.

Their message system said to call back from a different phone number - I did that and I'm in wait mode now. I'll let you know how it turns out.

To bypass this error while Verizon is working on it, go into your phone's settings, select email account> account settings>add account. If an error box pops up asking for you to re-validate your accounts, go ahead and enter your password, and while the phone is processing, hit the home button, go back into settings, go back to where you can add an account, and it should let you add a new one. Create a new account under the "Other" option for the account you are having issues with (not under the actual email name, such as "Yahoo"). This worked for me. You could also go through that process to remove the account you are having issues with if you don't want to deal with the error messages. Hope this helps!

I just finished my conversation with Tech Support. They said it is a "known issue" and that they're working on it.
I did somehow manage to create 2 emails accounts under the Other Email icon - not sure how I got there except that I waited and waited for the sync operation to end unsuccessfully.

this is lovely i cant seem to sync my phone either this is quite a set back for my company.
they need to respond or send us a message to or phones to let us know they have a problem and they are going to fix it.

My Yahoo is STILL HAVING this Issue... Stuck in a loop -- won't synch.. user name and pass is incorrect (which I KNOW it is) .. won't let me delete the account, won't let me add an account (already exsists it says)... this is AWFUL!!!! Basically = no email on a "Smartphone" ... ridiculous!!!! CMON VERIZON!!

I've had the same problem all morning with my AOL account. Have re-entered and re-set passwords, uninstalled and re-installed email, and still won't sync. It accepts my password for about 10 seconds, then tells me, again, there's error. Will just have to access email on web for now. So frustrated and trying so hard not to throw my new phone out the window. Completely lost my patience. Verizon better solve this soon.

I just got my phone yesterday and have been fighting with getting hotmail to work ever since using the Windows Live Hotmail setup option. Sounds like I'm not alone. Misery loves company, I suppose.
I havejust had success using the "other" e-mail setup option. Hotmail now appears to do exactly what I want it to do. I think the problem is with Verizon's pre-loaded Windows Live Hotmail setup option -- it's a piece of junk.
Even though the band-aid seems to work, Verizon needs to get this fixed.

Wow, been futzing with this off and on all day. Got a normal push from Yahoo mail this morning to my Razr M, and right after it was finished I got the blue "Username and/or Password Incorrect." Sync errors ever since, though my GMail account appears to work fine, but I may well be eating my words on that too soon if this is not a Yahoo-specific issue, as it has often been in the past.
Well at least it appears to be a Verizon specific issue so hopefully a fix soon.

Visited two (2) Verizon stores this afternoon, one of which was corporate. Neither were aware of the problem. However, the sales representative at the corporate store did say this type of issue is usually resolved in a day or two (2).

Same problem here-I am using Yahoo mail. My password is definitely correct and I can log in on my computer. It has been happening since the 28th.

Netzero and Gmail seem to be fine, Yahoo account having the said sync problems. Cannot remove account or add new.
Yahoo mail accounts work fine from my browser, via Droid or computer.
