Text Messaging App

I have this phone and went to the Iphone 5 (my battery is horrible) maybe going back to my Maxx if the replacement phone does the same thing.  Is there an app that allows you to have different sounds for incoming text messages from different people?   I know the Iphone does.  If so, what is it called?

You will need a third party app from the Play Store.  Some of the replacement text message app have this customization as a feature.

  1 of them is GO SMS Pro. "GO SMS Pro deeply supports personalized settings, includs notification(icons, ringtones, LED light, vibration), SMS signature, interview background settings, etc"

  I used it for a while, not sure why I went away from it.. It is a pretty good app, it will even back up your text messages for you.
