I have the Droid Razr M. I like to turn the phn. to a horizontal position to text, as the virtual keyboard is larger. But, in this position, I see the word, "next" instead of "send". So I have to turn the phn. back to the upright position to send. Is that normal??

Turning the phone will give you a larger keyboard. I don't have the M, but I do have the original Razr and when I turn it, it gives "Done" instead of "Send". However, when I hit "Done" it does remove the keyboard.
I haven't been able to get my hands on the M to test it, but it seems to me as though this isn't an option on your phone.
