Lets put an end to these messages, firecapt68! Log on to www.vzw.com . On the left and side of the screen, under Account Management, click on Change Features. You may have to click the drop down to expand the menu. Select your mobile number and then scroll down to, "Control Management" and click remove.
Let us know if the issue persists.
Thank you,

I can't find "Control Management". The texts stopped for a few days this week, until I updated this thread they had stopped, then they started again. Really getting fed up with this phone!

I'm getting this and getting about 40+ messages a day. There is no "Control Management" option to remove. From other threads I've looked and there is no Backup Assistant Plus option under email either. I followed one set of instructions and it removed all my email accounts (which stopped the text messages), but they started back up after I added my email accounts back to my phone. Do I have to completely remove all of Backup Assistant Plus to stop this annoying "feature"? It would seem since this has been occurring for a few years that there would be a better solution from Verizon by now.

What happened Lena A? Did you give up? Several people replied months ago to this thread that your fix did not help, and you never followed up. I have the same issue, and none of the solutions I have read about have worked including yours. So far the most relevant post about this issue has been, "Maybe it is time to switch to AT&T."

if you made no adjustments, then it may of been something verizon removed on there end. but if an adjustment was made on your phone then that probably took care of it. either way it's gone and that what's great.

I followed all the help I was given, but nothing worked, so it had to be something on Verizon's end that they finally got straight.

Well should have kept my comments to myself, because the Verizon text started again at 2 AM this morning. Highly irritated!!
