Touch is off while charging. Almost locked my phone many times :((

So every night when I get a call or want to check some thing on the phone and its charging to unlock my phone the touch is off from what I am pressing. I once had the same problem when I rooted an EVO and put a custom ROM which the ROM had that problem. But its very identical to it. I have not touched anything on my RAZER MAXX no additional software or anything. anyone else having this issue?

Are you saying that while its charging you can't SWIPE it to Unlock it to access things, or answer the phone? Can you be more specific ...  Works fine for mine when charging.

yea I can see now I was not so specific sorry about that.

When I try to use it while its charging, after 15 minutes the LOCK is enabled so I try to unlock it and the touch is not accurate cause my unlock is very simple its a L always used the same one. so by the time I reach 3rd dot the 1st and 2nd dot turn off and it gives me the wrong code look. It only does it that I have seen when charging and on the LOCK. Havent really had a problem while using it after I unlocked it. first I thought it was my fingers might be water on them but has been happening since I got the phone.

I have read many reports of a phone screen acting wonky if the charger is not a Motorola charger.  Say, they're using a charger from their LG or another phone.   If that's the case with you, I'd try it using your Motorola charger.  Be sure you are plugged into either a wall outlet (best) or the high power port of a pc.  It sounds like either insufficient power or a "dirty" supply.

Also, it would be interesting to see if this happens when the phone is booted in Safe mode.  If not, it's probably an application you are using.

Actually I have tried in safe mode and I do use the Verizon Chargers. I actually got confirmed from 2 Techs that have the Razer Maxx and Razer that it is a known issue. So I guess I just hope they update it soon. not so hard to unplug on and off but still a pain. But thanks for the idea, wish it would have resolved it Smiley Sad.

i charge with the phone off for 3 hours & can live with a missed call in the middle of the night.

Oh well sadly I cant I got business calls and emergency calls during the day and night. a phone should not be having these issues. but then again all phones have issues.

I have the Motorola E815 and I have never had a complaint.  It is old, but still supported, thank heaven. I would not consider changing because of the reliability.  It was top of the line at the time, proving older is better or stays one of the best, in my opinion..

Glad to hear your got a great phone that is still kicking butt. but hopefully with time they will fix issues on this phone but like most phones they dont get the problems fixed as much as they should at least that is what I have seen with the other carriers I have had. New to Verizon so bare with me.

I really wish I'd seen this thread a long time ago. I thought I was the only one having this problem. I have trouble unlocking my screen and doing anything after that point (i.e. opening apps or texting) because like you said, the touch is just "off." I was using the original charger that came with my first RAZR maxx, used the one that came with my replacement (another story), and when that charger crapped the bed I bought a replacement third party charger and it does it on this one too. So, two phones, three chargers, two of the chargers were supplied with the phones, same problem. I first experienced it in March 2012, just one month after getting my first RAZR maxx and it continues to this day. So annoying.
