how do I turn off the text preview at top of phone when you get a text message? On my iphone I could turn this off and just see the person's name but message itself was hidden.
You can go to Text > Menu > Messaging Settings, then scroll to the bottom and uncheck Notifications, but then you'll also lose the notification tone.
There are probably apps in Google Play that you could use instead ... maybe Handcent or a similar app would do what you're looking for?
