My droid razer maxx in the last week updated to the ICS os. What a nightmare I have had nothing but troubles since then.
I spent hours with motorola tech support. To make a long story short sorry there is nothing we can do to help you & we can not revert you back to the previous os. I am not saying there intention where not good & they were working on implementing new features & capabilities, but there was no reason to make the changes of how to user interfaces with the phone. One of the major reasons I selected this phone was how the operator interfaced with the phone. I don't feel that motorola has taken any effort in accomadating there customers & I will take this into serious consideration when I update my phone next time. I did not select to have this new operating system installed, it just installed. That major of update should be optional. A lot of the features & capabilities that the new os is giving you, I could care less about & to have them operate they did not need to change how I interface with the phone. Just because you changed how you move through the screens doesn't make it an improvement.

A couple things:
1 - This is the wrong location for this discussion, there is a forum for Motorola Droid RAZR questions/comments
2 - I noticed that you signed up today, and then posted this comment. Did you take the time to look through some of the other threads in these communities to see that others have had issues, and how they are solving them? There are things you could be doing to help solve your issues if you would just search or look through these forums.
What issues are you having that have made this phone a "nightmare" now?

What is the forum for then?
Yes acutally I ready quite a few of the comments & I was hoping to save someone, anyone else the grief that I went through when the ICS installed itself onto my phone.
I had no choice, no option & no way to go back.
So again if I can save 1 person a whole lot of grief.
I have since worked through the worst of my issues or atleast I think I have.
1. I lost recieving my e-mails
2. Then I could not get my e-mail access set back up & working. When all was said and done this took me a week & countless hours.
3. I wasn't getting notification of voice mail messages.
4. I wasn't able to find were missed called were stored at.
5. I had a lot of trouble navigating through screens to find & use features that previously were simple key strokes.
6. I don't like the new unlock feature.
If motorola would have just made these changes of how the operator interface with the phone as options (selection of configuration) I think the end users would be a lot happier.
This would give the end user the capability of configuring to which way best works with how & what features they use with the phone. Isn't that one of the major things that this is about versatility?
I particular picked this phone because of how the operator interfaces with the phone. No I do not like the ICS give me back GB.

What I meant was, you posted this in the Droid X forum, when you should have posted it in the Droid RAZR forum.
It sounds like you didn't had too many problems, more so being the navigation issues with a new OS? If you really want to go back to GB, then google it. It cannot be discussed here.

I didn't relize that it was posting in the wrong forum location.
Thanks for making note of that for me.
Is there any easy way to redirect my previous comments to the correct forum location?

No problem, a Moderator should be along at some point and move it to the correct location.

I have had nothing but problems with my DROID RAZR MAXX since the ICS installed itself onto the phone. Motorola was practically no help in resolving issues & the more I use the phone the more problems that I find. I did contact Versizon tech support & they had me reset the phone back to factory default, which ultimatly means I had to set the phone back up to get e-mails working & to have access to play store. Since the ICS installed I have had problems with, periodically when I plug in the phone charger when the phone is powered the phone goes crazy, scrolling through screen @ a high rate, even dialing phone #s on its own. I have periodic problems with the touch screen not working. I have periodic problems when using the touch cell keyboard, I push 1 key & 2 or 3 key @ the other end of the keyboard will activate.
I am still waiting to see if the reset on the phone is going to help.
I am still an unhappy user of the new ICS.

Well the Pits it may be but sometimes it's the Best thing to Do: the Reason we basically took a New a OS and set it top of and Old one and when that Happens things from the Old can Clash with new. End Results that's were the Problems can Come from.
But if a F.D.R. is performed Correctly it can make things more better than worse. I have done 3 on my Droid X and 4 on my incredible after Os updates and Maintenance updates with success.
This is one of Best ways to Do a Factory Reset the Instructions were Set up By Wildman to use on the Droid X but they can Be used on the Razr / Razr Maxx as Well.
Wildman thanks again for the Use of the Instructions: b33
Hard Reset: - Removes all personal data and sets device back to the stock state when you bought device...
1. Uncheck "Back up my data" under Settings/Privacy
2. Click Factory Data Reset/Reset Phone
3. After reset is complete only Active Phone but do not input Google Email information
4. Once phone is at homepage go back into Settings/Privacy and make sure the Automatic Restore option is unchecked, even if grayed out, activate "Back up my data" and quickly disable "Automatic Restore"
5. After being sure that the Automatic Restore option is off it will be safe to log into Google and you can continue installing preferred apps and custom settings.

I have already went through the process of resetting the phone to factory default.
I'm just in the process of seeing if it has done any good.
Time will tell.
