From what I've seen budone this seems to be a pretty good update.and since the Pm I sent to ya we've had nothing but solid & heavy rain. An what a light show. And get this out in Colby an Goodland kansas they should be receiving about 12 to 13 inches of snow. And they're under blizzard conditions right now because of the high winds. But as it goes in kansas one day or days you get pretty Weather and then something else the next day. B33

Hello happy forum members!,

As you all may know, the secret is out! There is a software update for the Motorola Droid Razr and the Droid Razr Maxx! This update provides many enhancements such as:

• Mobile hotspot connectivity improvements.
• 3D map improvement to VZNavigator.
• Improved data connectivity functions.

As always, the software update is being pushed out over the air. The process takes about 7 - 14 business days to complete. The rollout started yesterday, 2/6. Of course, we don't have a schedule as to when the update will be in available to certain markets. I wish we did but it is what it is! If you would like more information on the software update and the benefits then you can review the links below.

The New update for my R. Maxx came 2:45am this Morning i haven't done the Download as my Maxx needed a fill up of some Premium Octane    My R. Maxx.. lasted 1 Day, 12 Hours 5 Min. 10 Sec.!! B33

Might want to wait on that update; I just did it on my RAZR MAXX, and my internet browser is much, much slower now.  I've posted a question on this forum; hopefully we'll get this resolved soon,.

It was not ICS.  It was an enhancement to Gingerbread (6.12.173.XT912.Verizon.en.US)

I just downloaded & installed the update.  I'm still checking it out.  It added some new apps too MOG Music, Slingbox, Icon that says Videos it's a Rental Ctr (I guess),  Apps (This for Verizon Apps), Emergency Alets, Mobile HotSpot has a new Red icon, My musci has a new icon, Text Msg has new icon & a different look.  That's it for now.  I'll check back after I've check them out. 

Applications:

+ Mobile Hotspot will now successfully allow other devices to connect to all Internet websites.

+ Improvements in the Mobile Hotspot security.

+ VZ Navigator® has been updated with the latest 3D map improvements.

+ Visual Voice Mail Updates:

• Visual Voice Mail messages can be marked as read.

• Visual Voice Mail message playback resumes when audio is switched to speaker.

• Visual Voice Mail will successfully subscribe or unsubscribe while connected with Wi-Fi.

• Successfully press back key after playback in Visual Voice Mail without error.

+ V CAST App now comes preloaded.

+ MotoCast installation steps have been improved for easier use.

Data Connectivity:

+ Improved stability of data connectivity after Airplane Mode is disabled.

+ Improved data throughput performance in low-signal 4G environments
Device Operation:
+ Improved Battery life when using Phone Book Access Profile (PBAP)
Bluetooth® headsets.

+ Successfully save multimedia ringtones.

+ Favorite Contacts widget has been updated.

+ Improved device stability when moving between home screen panels.

+ Email icon has been updated for improved visibility.

+ When performing an Over the Air (OTA) update, the display will correctly show the remaining download time.

+ CMAS (Commercial Mobile Alert Service) feature has been added.
