I've received the updated software but it fails to install.  What should I do because this is extremely frustrating.

I've got an excellent signal.  I've been trying since last night to get the update to work but it keeps saying the same thing after the reboot.

I would also recommend that unless your have a blistering fast WiFi connection (15mbps+), you should do the download over 4G (assuming you have a good 4G connection) ..  My WiFi at home is at the mercy of my DSL connection speed - 764kbs ..  had I attempted to turn on WiFi to receive this update, it would have taken like 10 hours !!!  Over 4G I downloaded it in under 10 mins.  (I typically get 12-15mbps DL speed over 4g -- after ICS I'm seeing 18- 20mbps !!!! ).

What i like about Cox internet Cody and with My plan is i have power Boost-->> that kicks in on big Downloads an at times i can get up to 24 to 30mBps Download and that's what Counts i'm Ready to put My NetGear 600 to Work..

Well that's a Bummer.!  This is what i would since you can't pull the Battery an you done a Soft Reset witch is Basically the Same. I would Call Customer Service 1-800-922-0204 Option 3 and ask to Talk to a Tear 2 and have them go over your Account to Check it out and go over some settings with Ya if it's to were they can't Get it Going and your Under the 14 Days get your Self another Unit..

I am also having this issue. RAZR 16GB running 6.12.181.XT912 on 2.3.6 and Webtop Version of WT-2.0.0-139. Phone was purchased new from Verizon and then received an update from .173 to .181 and has not been modified. I have performed the factory reset and formatted the Internal Memory. I have also booted into the Motorola boot menu and reset from there. Before the resets, I couldn't even get the download to complete, but after resets, download completes, but ALWAYS dies probably at the 30% mark of the yellow bar unpacking...icon goes from "updating" icon, to exclamation point, reboots, and says update failed.

Been trying this over and over since Friday night...it is now Sunday night.

Anybody have any ideas? Or does anybody know Verizon's stand on this?

The Factory Reset Would've been Ok if you would have done just that But Messing with the Internal Memory!  i would've stayed away from that to many Important things in that Area..

let me clarify, the "internal media are storage" is what I formatted, using the phone's option to do so. That should have nothing on it that affects the phone.

I am going to blow away the phone one more time and then attempt the update before calling or going to Verizon, but I am afraid they are going to tell me to do the same thing again, and all the steps take a decent amount of time. Really hope they don't put me through a bunch of stuff over and over again.

Thank you.

They probably WILL have you do the same things that you are doing now, but this way, if it doesn't work, they could order you a replacement.

Yes, back to Verizon to have them try it.

Hello! I just want to check in to see if you were able to get the latest software on your device. There are times when you may need to wait at least 24 hours to pull the software update again.
Did you get an error when attempting to pull the update?
If there is an error, you will need to hard reset the device and then you will be able to install the update.
Please let me know how this works for you.

Tamara suggestion is a good one, try resetting the device and then try again...
