Ive had my maxx for several days now and loveeverything about it so far except one issue. The volume level is low on all accounts especially the speakerphone. All levels are maxed out but its still not loud as i would like or think it should be. I was wondering is there an app available that can boost all system volume levels? All ive seen so far look as if they are basically just for the music. I wanna increase every volume level that i can. Any help would be appreciated. Jesse

The volume level should not be low. If anything, everyone says the volume on the Razrs is very strong. If you're sure that it's set up right, I would take it back to a dealer while it's still new. It's possible something's defective with it. But while you're still in the window for easy returns, I'd have it looked at.

Sally I assume you are talking about a Razr, and not a Razr Maxx. Granted they're supposed to be the same phone, but I have also posted issues with speakerphone on this forum which have been present since day 1 of owning the phone, without much of a response. I also have low speakerphone volume, but didn't want to take it back to get a refurbed phone.

Yes, I have the non-Maxx Razr. If there's a difference in the speakers, I've not read of it but I'm not an expert on them by any means.
I did a little looking about after reading your post and seem to find some who say their Maxx has good speaker volumes and others who complain it is soft. The CNET reviewer wrote "Similarly, callers couldn't tell I had switched to the Razr Maxx's speaker phone. I on the other hand noticed that the handset's speaker was soft and lacked serious oomph. That said, the speaker didn't distort at high volumes." Which struck me as odd - it's described as both "soft" and having "high volume." But at any rate, I did see some complaining of low volume, and others saying it was great.
Since it's a new phone, the OP could still take it back, listen to another Maxx and decide if he wants to exchange it. I guess it depends on how much of an issue it is for him.

Equalizer by Smart Android developers is the best application for this issue, I have had it on all my devices since day one of release and it is a app I cant live without.
