Yes I realize there is a ton of threads on the ICS update. I purchased 2 Droid Razrs not aware that the battery life is horrible which in my case is bad seeing as my wife has systemic lupus and MS also has a seizure disorder and i got the phones as a method to keep in contact with her while im at work or out of the house to make sure everything is ok. Anyway this phone has been out since november its now the end of April and still no ICS yet this phone is advertised as being ICS ready? Well ICS has been out for a while now. I believe after seeing many Razr phones showing off ICS that verizon is using a false advertising tactic to boost sales. Im not going to threaten a class action lawsuit or any of that. I will however contact the BBB if the update is not out by the end of next month. I paid for something that i am not recieving. Lets not even mention the battery life issues or the fact these phones randomly freeze (yea both phones have been power cycled factory reset the issue still persists) and the 2 months of my text messages not being recieved when i sent them. The text message issue was sent to be investigated was told i would recieve a response in 2 to 3 days well its been 2 weeks no response. I am not happy. I know quite a few people with motorola phones using other providers AT&T for example who have already gotten the ICS update. So like i said end of next month or ill contact the BBB. Very dissatisfied.

Those Razr's you see out there an have I.C.S on them are Phones owned by Testers or One's that get it from Downloading a Rom it's not the Official Over the Air that we will get it might be Close an i would say Verizon has in some way told them you Load it at your Own Risk an there could be a possibility it not covered by the Warranty as well. As for wanting I.C.S your not alone an it's probably not to far from being here but got hold tight an wait till it's fully finished..b33

One of the biggest mistake is you did not make sure the device had everything that was important to you, it is never wise to buy a device because of something that will get released later because sometimes uncontrollable situations can place a hold on a device receiving a planned update.
I understand your frustrations but it appears that you have received what you paid for, updates are a benefit but isn't a required item because the device will function as advertised right out the box.
Another thing is that the update isn't a solution to your reported issues so this will not impact the use of the device, the short battery life could be do to an application or other items that uses a level of resources that causes a faster than normal drain, basically you will experience similar issue with many of the Smartphones these days. I know it isn't a good thing but this is the way it is... After all you have a small pc in your hand.
Now as for the freezing issue this usually comes from a incompatible application installed on the device, I would try booting into safe mode and see if the freezing issue and battery drain issue changes..
You can access Safe Mode by following instructions located at http://support.verizonwireless.com/clc/devices/knowledge_base.html?id=50079
