I think I know what's going on.
It's Verizon notifying you that you have mail. seriously
If you create an email account using the predefined choices your mail is replicated on Verizon's server.
They implemented this back when the incredible 2 came out.
To solve this problem delete the email accounts on your phone.
Re create them using the "Other" option.
I believe this will stop the 6250 texts. And your email isn't on Verizon's servers.
I think I was the first guy to run into this way back when.
I hope it works

It is related to either Backup Assistant Plus or a mobile email on your previous phone. Have you tried a search on this community to see what other suggestions were given to those customers? You can start with the discussions lists to the right of this thread under the "More like this" heading.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

@Debrewski
I'm sure receiving these messages have become very frustrating! I would love to help you stop these messages!
Sounds as though your account is either provisioned for Backup Assistant Plus or the Cloud Storage service, but haven't set it up on this device. If you're not looking to sync data with either of these services, log into your My Verizon account online at www.vzw.com. Hover over "My Verizon" at the top, and under the "My Plans & Services" section click on "Change Features". Select the device you would like to remove the service from. Scroll down to "Cloud Storage for Media/Email" and "Backup Assistant Plus" and click "Remove". Scroll to the bottom and click "Next" and ensure "today" is selected as the date of change, and "Submit" changes. You should then stop receiving the text messages from 6250. Let me know how this works out for you. Thanks!

I'm sorry to see that the steps we provided didn't work out for you, Debrewski. I do appreciate your efforts! I think it best that we review these messages directly. Please go to the top of this page and select Browse > People, search my handle (Dion M) request the option to "Follow" so that we can direct message each other. I'll be requesting your mobile number and/or contact number to continue. Thanks!

I dont think anyone went into depth enough to solve this issue. Here is how I resolved my situation
By now most of us know that the message stems from Backup Assistant.
First Step: Visit this link and sign in there a link that says already subscribed click here to got to the sign in page
http://www.verizonwireless.com/wcms/consumer/products/backup-assistantplus.html
Second Step: Under Existing Customers, click on the link that says Manage Your Content
The next step will depend on if you've ever logged into you account, most of us haven't so your going to have to click on Setup now.
Third Step: The next step will depend on if you've ever logged into you account, most of us haven't so your going to have to click on Get Started.
Fourth Step: There should be three different types of content separated under Online Storage, Your Phone number, and Your Email Address. Under your Email address (or addresses in my case) there will be an option to delete them, if you want 6250 to go to hell, you click on that! The confirmation of you doing it correctly will be the last message you will ever receive from 6205 saying VZWUEP: DELETE
I am doing this off of memory, if anyone does this can you amend anything that might be off a little bit

I have found that the only thing that works is to download GoSMS and use the blacklist to block the 6250 number the next time you get it. Even if you don't want to use GoSMS for texting, it will blacklist the VZW 6250. I'm sure there are other apps that will do the same thing. I have never been able to successfully disable the Backup Assistant.

I've gone to the My VZW site several times and disabled BUA...it never "sticks" and several days/weeks later the VZW 6250 texts return.

Over the years I have tried multiple ways to stop the message with VZW tech reps and through the website, none of them lasted. "out of sight, out of mind" I don't worry about them anymore. I'm just offering this as a "if all else fails...this will stop the annoying popups" solution.

Actually I have...but after a while, it comes back. It wasn't a permanent solution for me and I've had this same mobile number for a looooong time. Hopefully it will be a permanent solution for the OP, but if not...the OP can just block the 6250 number like I did.

Well it worked for me, and I've had my number for a long time, that has nothing to do with it, its from replacing or factory resting your phone and the backup assistant duplicates your e-mail in its service, sure you can download an app and block the number but your not fixing the problem.

I got it to stop!
It's related to the Cloud storage for your phone. Verizon gives you 5GB for free and if you have it set to backup all your pictures and videos too, it will fill up and send you those VZWNMN:1 texts from 6250.
On your phone, open the Cloud App by Verizon. Go to settings and uncheck Photos, Videos and anything else really big you don't need to auto backup. (You'll need to back those up manually). Then, within the Cloud App, delete the actual phot and video files from the cloud storage.
I was at 84% capacity when the constant texts started. After I did this and now only backup my Contacts, Music, Documents, Messages and Call Logs, I am down to 36% of the 5Gb.
It's been an hour and the texts have stopped!

SoccerRef12,
I understand how important it is to finally resolved this and I'm here to help. Please follow these steps to stop the messages.
First, email accounts will need to be removed.
Go to the Email app.
Select Menu key.
Select one of the Email accounts.
Select Remove Account and Confirm with OK.
Repeat for all Email accounts.
Once that's completed allow time to test and confirm there no additional messages coming from 6250; then, re-add the accounts.
To setup e-mail accounts again:
Select Add Account
Select Others
Enter e-mail address and password
Repeat for all e-mail accounts.

Mine had nothing to do with email. It was Cloud storage being too full.
But thanks anyway.
