Trying to set up an email account I am required to put in a pfx certificate. Is this a requirement of (in my case) hotmail account? or for my local belkin router? Where do I find the .pfx file? - Thanks for any help

I haven't needed to install a certificate for my Hotmail/Outlook accounts. Are you using a custom domain through Hotmail?
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Trying to set up an account for the verizon phone email it several times refused to let me through the setup without providing a security certificate - apparently to allow access to the hotmail (outlook.com) site. We took the phone to a Verizon store and their reps had never seen that error before. I tried several times more using the email icon and then just going through settings to set up an account and somehow it finally let me through and said the account was set up. Very strange and rather frustrating - but at least it is done.
