It might be just a matter of cleaning the inbox or you may have to go to Settings--> Applications--> Manage Applications then select All then scroll down to Email an clear the cache an data to get things restored.. give these two things a try an if your still having issues let us know..b33

I have the same problem. I tried your two suggestions but they did not solve the problem. The only way I can get emails on the phone is to manually refresh. When I first bought it, it would retrieve the emails on its own. Do you have any other suggestions? I brought it to the Verizon store and their only suggestion was to re-establish the email accounts but that did not work.

The Mail app on my Inc2 never worked correctly, so I downloaded K-9 Mail and have used that for the past year. You would just delete your accounts from Mail, and set them up in K-9 and access them through that instead. It's worth a try. There are many other e-mail options in the Play Store as well. Good luck.

I saw your post dated May 21 on the forced manual refresh and tried to follow your instructions. There is only one email in the inbox so that is not the problem. I don't seem to have any reaction to "clearing the cache". Any other suggestions?

I have a different Android device, but I noticed if I don't restart my phone every other day or so, my email delivery isn't reliable. But I'm going to try your tip, B33!

There was nothing in the cache ,however the data had a small amount in it ,40.00kb ,when I went to clear it out it says and I quote : All of this application's data will be deleted permanently. This includes all files, setting, accounts, databases and so on. So should I still do it??
