After the ics update the home key and search key are not working. Is there a fix or some setting controlling these keys?

I had to do a full wipe and reset. Something must have been wrong with the initial installation. The upgrade wiped out my email,apps,and phone book in addition the soft keys were non functional....all seems good now....i am getting real good at reloading and typing usrr/pass over and over... maybe i can use my phone tomorrow
