how do i get my recordings and pictures back...? help..!!

previously had sucess with soft start up... but it is done for this time... i plug it in, it shows me the motorola icon, then shows my battery percentage... no matter how long it has charged from a wall charger... it quickly goes to five, ten and straight to one hundred percent... always the same.... anyways... while my original phone worked... on several occasions i tried to view my pictures and videos on my computer from my phone... and it would only pull up about a third of my files... i used my video recorder for audio recordings because the audio quality was more clear... i play guitar and i would use my phone to record new riffs i wrote instead of going through the hassle of setting up my recording equiptment for a thirty second riff... and use it as i guess an ear reference to figure my riffs out later when i wanted to expand....this seems to be my biggest regret and mistake and i always feared this would happen but i guess not enough to prevent it.... had about 60 video files on my original phone, and as i mentioned earlier, even with tech supports help... could only get about a third or less of those videos veiwable on my computer...  now the original phone wont function and my computer wont recognize it as a removable device...  just got a replacement, put my old sd and micro sim cards in and is the replacement is bringing up even fewer videos and pictures than what the computer would recognize before with the original...   so basically... i guess my question is... is there any hope of recovering my videos or is it a lost cause...? none of my contacts were transferred but as i get texts from old contacts... there name comes up with the new text message.... just hoping there is some internal storage that is the magical doorway to all of my guitar riffs.... really broke my heart...  so anybody... anywhere.... rain down some hope and knowledge on your boy.... thanks for any attempts of help...
