jelly bean update

Update keeps popping up on my phone, I hit install, it takes 20 min (one time, 1Hour). After it is over,

Nothing  , It does not take the down load, (It says failed). Went to verizon store, Spent about 1 hour there. They tried, with no

results. Said I could live with out the update, or buy a new phone. I paid too much to begin with.!!!!

This is the second time I have had problems

with updates. This problem has used up my data. My bill is going to be more.

The update caused my husband's phone to pull a old email from a year ago, and kept trying to send it.

We tried deleting, but had no luck.

The Verizon people were able to help me with that.

Try a Factory Reset and then do the Update:  When you do the Update Make sure you have a Fully Charged Battery and if you can Hook up to Wi-Fi do it or be close to a Tower to get the Best Signal..

Well, you COULD just try a Factory Reset - putting the phone back to square 1 (ICS) and then allow it to try again. I'm not sure if you do a FR if it will go directly to JB .. sorry ... haven't tried that. Mine went just fine from ICS to JB w/o any need to FR.  If you decide on the FR approach, make sure you back up cristical files/images just to be on the safe side.  (There is an option during the FR to NOT wipe your external card, which is what I'd do if you try this. Good luck.) Oh, and of course any and all APPS will liklely have to have their settings re-initialized when you're done.

Your in luck! It has been my experience that ALL updates are BAD! They just keep getting worse. My phone updated and now my alarm and timer is just alarm. No more timer. I guess they decided to delete that part. My wfe has been using the timer for the last week to time eye drops.(5 minutes between each ap) I told her to NOT upgrade if at all possible.

Yep, the timer was removed in Jelly Bean; you'll have to download one from Google Play.

Here's the changelog if you haven't seen it:
