Hello dino862,

I know it can be frustrating to lose your data connection when connecting to the Internet.  I would like to assist.  There has been a new software released to correct this opportunity.  Have you downloaded the most recent software?  The newest version is 6.12.173.XT912.Verizon.en.US and you can check your version by navigating to Settings>About Phone>System Version.  If you do not have the most recent version you can download by following the visuals here  Please let me know if you have the newest version or if you were able to download the software and test.  If you need additional assistance we can proceed after you post your results of testing after the newest software.  Thank you.

Yes. It's not Razor specific either, it appears to be an issue with all Verizon 4G LTE devices. If you look around on these forums, and I've even begun seeing jokes posted about it on Facebook now sadly enough. It appears that in December there was a horrific software update pushed out and all h*ll broke loose. Which coincedentally is when we switched from 9 years of service with Sprint to Verizon for the better coverage area in areas we vacation and the (allegedly) better service. Verizon has always been touted as the be all, end all of cell phone service. From day one we have had issues with every device on our account (4) switching back and forth while sitting in the  same location from 3G to 4G to 1x to a red circle with a line through it which with all my years of cell usage I've never seen, and I've been with pretty much every carrier in my state at one point or another. Data coverage is hit and miss, but mostly miss. I spend A LOT of time turning my phone off, then turning it back on to try and reconnect with the network which seems to play havoc with the battery life significantly. My phone updated with the new software update reference by VZW support above first thing this morning and I am sincerely hoping that this resolves this issue. I am paying significantly higher rates for Verizon than I was for Sprint, just for a slightly smaller slice of coverage area, and I no longer have unlimited mobile to mobile to any carrier, nor do I have unlimited data, which I did with Sprint and my phones have been essentially BRICKS in the 2 1/2 months we have had them. And it cost me approximtely $1,500 in equipment to switch providers. The new joke in my house is..."Can you hear me now? Nope...I switched from Sprint to Verizon for better coverage then they snuck they shit*ty software update in on me". So take note Verizon...This software update had better resolve your data and netword connectivity issues because I have now noticed it becoming a running joke on facebook. That will go viral in a nanosecond. Your flawless reputation is suffering, and is suffering in a big way. In fact, I'd have to say at this point, it's pretty darn tarnished.
