market app on droid is no longer on my phone

Effective today, android market is now google playstore or whatever it is.

Might as well delete it, Google Play is now the full market place for android phones. Movies, music, books and apps all in one store. Enjoy.

yea the android market is gone....if you search android market on the web it will direct you to the new Google Play site so I assume the new play site that replaces the market will be pushed out to phones in the next few days/weeks

edit: also looking at the new Google play site today it appears many popular apps are on sale now for 0.49$

They are on sale as a part of the launch of the rebranding of the Market to Google Play.

I see they have a Google Play app for music, books, and movies. Isn't there one all inclusive app to replace the market app?
