problems with wifi after jb update

hey guys, is anyone  having problems with wifi after the update?

I have four razr maxx and they all have issues , after spending hours with Verizon and Motorola (together on the phone) they could not come out with a solution, they decide to send out a replacement phone. that was nice but, the new phones came in with the ics ,so it when back to square one, after me setting up the new phone ,everything was perfect, (this was yesterday) during some time last night , the new phone somehow downloaded the jb and installed by itself,i was awake by the vibration when it was rebooting.so now the new phone has the same problem as the old one.

problems consist.

no wi fi connectivity , it detects the signal at full bar, once you enter your password and hit connect signal disappears and it says connecting.but never connects.

another issue I find , the 3g disappears and falls into 1x and at times its gone,so i end up with not data at all.

Mike, I will tell you that if you cannot get wifi in your home the situation is with your router and not your phones.

First turn off your phones, then turn off your broadband modem and your router. after that is done wait a few minutes and turn the broadband modem on first and let it cycle back on fully.

Then turn on your router and wait for that to cycle back up fully. (Some folks may just have a dual modem/router) in that case wait for it to fully cycle up.

Turn you cell back on and see if that fixed your connection issue. Now if it did no more action is required.

If it still is a problem, enter your router via typing from your home ccomputer 192.168.1.1 it will ask for the logon credentials, if you never changed it they normally are ADMIN-PASSWORD if you changed the login settings you use that to login.

Go to the tab for Firmware update, follow the instructions on how to do one at your router manafactures web site. Some is as simple as clicking get update if it shows an update is available, others you need to download the firmware update to your desktop and manually get the file from the desktop to run.

The firmware update may fix the problem.

Now I have read that a few people here have installed new routers and the problem went away. Hey what can I say?

My Razr had no problem with my Netgear R6300 A/C Router but then its new.
