my vibrate stops working and the only way to get it to work again is to shake phone or tap on it. is this a harware problem?
If it works when you shake it then I would say yes it is a hardware problem. Most Razr Maxx devices are still under factory warranty just call Verizon and they will mail you a new one at no cost.
