"System updates" not available without a Motorola service account.

This is the message I received:

- "System updates" not available without a Motorola service account. -

....beginning a few weeks ago when I tried checking for a system update.

It then asks, Would you like to set up an account now?

If I accept with "Setup" it just spins, stating "Communicating with server.  Please wait."

and never goes anywhere from there.

I did troubleshoot and tried a few things suggested, with no success.

Any suggestions??

Have you rooted (the device) or disabled any apps?  If you have rooted (the device) then you are on your own.  If you have merely disabled some apps, then try enabling all apps and do a soft reset.
