I was wondering if there is some sort of way to save all sms messages that a person receives/sends since the droid razr only lets a person have 1000 sms messages per conversation that they have with someone? And another question that I have is, is there a way to get any if all of the sms messages received/sent back that have been deleted by a person and the ones that have been deleted automatically since again, the droid razor's memory for sms only lets someone have a 1000 sms messages to and from someone (which is crap and they should make android or just the droid razr, since idk if this is the case with any other android device, but if it is then they should make android devices be able to keep all sms messages sent and received to and from a person that they text with. hence like iPhones do)

Install a 3rd party sms application like Handcent SMS, there should be a option to retain more messages but remember that to many messages may cause device to run slow when application is indexing the messsages.

There should be an option within the Text Message application settings to determine if the application will delete old messages or not. You can turn it off so it doesn't delete messages automatically. Also there are several SMS backup applications in the Play Store. I have messages dating back to 2010 on my phone thanks to a backup application called SMS Backup and Restore. And I have gone through four phones and several more factory reset in the meantime.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
