synching email account

I have set up my yahoo account on my phone.  It downloads messages fine, but when i delete them on the phone, they still show up on my computer (and messages i delete on my computer still show up on my phone).  My droid 2 didn't do this....how do i get this set so that the changes i make on one show up on the other?

I'm not familiar with the ins and outs of Yahoo mail, but your incoming mail server may be set up as POP which generally makes you choose whether a message deleted from your client will also be deleted server side. In this case your phone email is acting as the client and your good old web interface is the main view of what's up on the server. Are you using the Yahoo app or something else?

i had just added the yahoo account to the email settings, but i just downloaded the yahoo mail app and switched to that and the problem is gone.  thanks
