So I just got the maxx a couple weeks ago and was super excited, but am already having problems. When I try to text it jumps around and types letters I am no where near. It sends half way through typing a message or moves into the middle of another word. My husband actually asked me if I was drunk a couple times til his started doing it to??? Anyone else have text/email issues??? Should I have virus protection on my phone?
Virus protection is a disputable subject some say yes and some say no. It wouldn't hurt to download one and let it run. If you are still having this issue you may need to get a replacement.
is there a safe one for these phones. Seems like half the ones out there are actually viruses themselves

OP: As to your keyboard issue ... are you using the Swype keyboard? Reason I ask is because it can take a little getting used to.

I also have the Razr Maxx and I have not experienced any issues with the keyboard. I want you to have the same great experience with yours! Are you using a 3rd party keyboard? If you are, please delete it, power off/on and test. If you are using the native keyboard another 3rd party application may also be conflicting with the way your keyboard perform. Run your phone in Safe Mode http://goo.gl/ApDdk and test your keyboard while in Safe Mode. If issues stop while in Safe Mode, you have a conflicting 3rd party app that must be identified and removed. Let us know how your test goes in Safe Mode.
