If you tap into the forums on the Moto site (which are currently being moved to new servers) fixing the SIM card error will be a major fix. We shall see...

I love the line in the instructions that
"If the system update fails to install, you will get an error screen. However, this only means the software did not installproperly. Remove and re-insert the battery and power the device back on. The device will power back on with originalsoftware and will prompt you once again to install the system update."
Pretty funny!

I applied this manually today. Followed the link here:
http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-razr-hacks/188939-ota-6-11-748-xt912-verizon-en-us.html
- Get the download,
- Rename the file to update.zip.
- Copy it to your SDCard-Ext.
- Power off the phone.
- Power it back on while holding both volume keys.
- When the menu appears use the volume down button to scroll to 'Restore'
- Once 'Restore' is highlighted hit the volume up to select it.
- Phone reboots
- When the yellow excalmation appears hit the power button and both volume keys
- When the menu appears - scroll to apply update from sdcard then hit the power button
- Next Menu use volume down to scroll to update.zip
- Hit power button to apply it.
Phone will update, takes a few minutes....then you're done.
I didn't lose any settings or software so far as I can tell.

I haven't noticed any differences. I wasn't really having any problems other than a random sleep mode.
