What happened to the microphone icon on my keyboard for voice to text?
I forgot to mention I have a Razr Maxx HD .

Voice to text gets me through my drives to and from home accident-free so let's recover the icon and keep you safe.
To fix this, go to settings > Language and input > make sure "Google voice typing" is checked. And please do keep us posted if this fixes matters.

I'm having the same problem but on my Razr M. I don't have the setting you mentioned above. I have an option that says "Text to Speech Output" which is checked and then "Google Text to Speech" which is checked under that. Still no microphone. Suggestions?
