Does anyone else use the "to leave a callback number press 5" feature on your voicemail? We have used this service with Verizon for many years for emergency voicemails. The service stopped working several weeks ago and Verizon cannot figure out why. Just curious if anyone else out there is experiencing the same problems.
If you have never tried it.... call your cell from another number. After the voicemail prompt...press 5. follow the instructions. You should receive a text with the phone number attached.
Let me know if it works on your Droid Maxx. We can only get it to work on Casio phones that are on our account.
thanks all!!

I was looking for this same feature. I spoke with Verizon 2nd level support and they couldn't find anything about the feature being discontinued. It was a useful feature and should have been kept, or made an administrative option. It was not the same as caller ID. If your phone was off, out of coverage, or in airplane mode, you won't get caller ID for a missed call.
Come on Verizon, own-up, you can do better! At least document the change!

Works on my Prepaid LG G2. Just tried it, and my alternate number was sent via text.
