My Droid Turbo is just over a month old, and the battery seems to be an issue already. Using the supplied Turbo charger last night with nothing running took almost 3 hours to charge (Nothing "Turbo" about that!!!), and then it is discharging WAY sooner than I would have expected - today I used the device VERY lightly and saw it drop to 75% in just over 2 hours.

The TURBO part is only to get you to 50 percent. The fu;; charge isnt so turbo. It would kill a battery if the whole thing could turbo charge

Lets take a closer look, Rschank! Are you using the manufacturer provided charger? What shows as using the most battery under Settings > Battery

Yes, I am using the manufacturer-provided charger (that was the charger used for the referenced ~3 hours to charge last night). On Settings, screen is using 36% and cell standby is next at 16%

Thanks zellerandy. Makes sense...I suppose I succumbed to marketing, buying a pretty shiny thing without adequately understanding specs. So far I'd say the Turbo fails to deliver on its ad campaign. And looks like I need to actively manage battery users (like having a screen bright enough to be able to read it). Now I'm kicking myself for not just getting the iPhone.
Also have had a couple of abnormal, unprompted reboots. Each time, the settings revert from network date/time to device date/time. That one has me stumped too.

Go to the play store and download two really great battery apps that I think after their 5 day learning curve kicks in will help you with a longer battery life. Snapdragon Battery Guru and Battery Doctor
