Try a system cache clear through the recovery menu first.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Your using the factory Turbo charger correct? I've seen some others post about this. I'd try what ann suggested above. Let us know.

So I took over my wife's old Turbo 2 and in the process did a factory reset. I started getting battery issues on first use. I have done several things over the course of trying to see why a phone with one of the biggest batteries was constantly warm and hot draining battery constantly (it showed the screen as the main offender). This is my 1st day of use after setup. I noticed the drain immediately and the normal chargers that I use (not quick charge) were not keeping up to charge it when using it. I had been through settings and remembered setting up the moto voice thing just passing through the options. I read one of the things to try is to disable it. I had also minimized the wifi from staying on, reduced brightness, etc. but right after I disabled the moto voice, the battery seemed like it was charging at a normal rate (as in not going down or staying the same % on charger) and was not warm/hot constantly. Now I am only a few minutes in to this but its going in a positive direction (my hopes and the phone charge). I currently have it on my old samsung qi charger and it has been actually charging while sitting here with no unusual heat gain. I did have to suspend Pokemon Go to adequately determine if the issues were phone related or gaming related. Anyway what I was trying to get at is that a factory reset did me no good as I started from one, Try the Moto Voice thing. Open moto app, Click the stars in the right upper corner, click the voice icon and uncheck moto voice.

Thanks. If all else fails I will try that. Thing is, it had been working
fine up until the phone updated.

I think the 48 hours they have on the web site is false, but there is no way to prove it. That said you can reduce battery drain but keeping wifi, bluetooth, and location off until needed. Also, lots of apps have notification checked, turn that off as well. However, some people like me don't like to do that so just carry a charger in the car and leave it plugged in when driving so it is good for the entire day.
My charger that came with the phone is very fast. from 10% to full it takes about an hour to charge.
