Just got the Droid Razr. Great phone, one problem that will cause me to give it back. I have a 2011 BMW 328xi with the iDrive. The phone pairs and works fine. What doesnt work good is my phone book. While all my contacts are in my phone, only the phone numbers show up on my car screen, no names. This makes it pretty much useless to use while driving. Ive tried repairing, deleting, restarting. The phone and the operating system are listed on BMWs web site as compatible with my car. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Gregc11514,
That is a perplexing situation that you are experiencing. It also sounds like you have been proactive in trouble shooting the issue at hand.
Does you caller id work when it is not paired?
Are you having any other display options problems in the car?
Has the phone always behaved this way while paired?
What software version are you using?
Are you having service issues with the device?
Can you make and receive calls?
I did do some research on the matter and have found that you need to set the phone's Call Settings. Follow the steps below for the instructions:
Tap Menu > Settings > Call Settings. Then, tap Caller ID Readout and choose either Caller ID then Ring or Caller ID Repeat.
I would also like to direct you to reach out to Motorola's Support site for further trouble shooting steps. However, I am certain that the steps I have provided will resolve you issue.

I hope this helps.
Thanks.

I know this is an old post.
I recently posted a YouTube video with a possible solution.
