Planning on ordering a Moto X 2nd gen from the Moto Maker in the next week or so. Will I be able to activate it to use my current phone number that is with sprint?

Great question! You can definitely check if your number can be ported over to VZW right here: http://bit.ly/qDhvBY . If it qualifies, you can definitely activate a new phone purchased through the Moto Maker for VZW.
