Updates should help you with your device not cause issues. Let's make sure you are able to access your nfc settings. What happens when you try to turn this feature off?

The nfc is greyed out in the settings menu.  Can't turn it on or off and

the nfc symbol stays in the status bar always.

I have factory reset the phone and still have the problem.

Also the ok Google feature isn't working anymore. Even after I turned off

the Moto voice feature.

I hope Verizon is working on a patch for the update to fix these issues.

Because of right now the Oreo update has taken away a very handy feature.

And added more problems that the previous version did not have.

mkramer1683, I am sorry to hear you are having issues with turning your NFC off. rtimm227 provided some good information about going to connected devices and trying to turn off NFC from there. Let me know if that resolves your issue. Was the ok Google feature working before the update? What happens when you try to use it?

So that is what that icon is! I noticed the icon after the update but could not remember what it was. I went to connected devices and am able to turn off NFC on Moto Z Droid. I did a restart just to make sure it did not turn on again and all seems good now.
