Data/3&4G/Wifi connection issues!

I live in an area that is supposed to have good 4G coverage, but... I don't.  This wouldn't be such a big deal to me if I could get reliable 3G coverage, but... I don't.  Even then, if I could just get the phone to perform when connected to my wireless at home, I could deal with the outages, but... I CAN'T!  I have had sporadic coverage, at best, for the last few months, and I'm getting sick of it.   I have restarted the phone, turned the airplane mode on and off, checked for updates.. etc.  I haven't had data coverage for more than a few seconds today-- and despite showing a strong wireless signal, the phone still will not work.  I'm not satisfied with Verizon's usual reply of "do a master reset."  I shouldn't have to reset my phone every time I have connection issues--- My husband has a 3G only phone, and his works pretty well.  He doesn't understand how my "better" phone can't accomplish anything more than a phone call.  I have been a customer with Verizon for over 10 years, and I get a discount through my place of employment, which has made me stay a lot longer than I should have, but I'm just not happy with anything they're doing these days.  Customer Service is nonexistent both in the Wireless and Residential forums, and I'm paying them too much money to let them treat me like crap.  If you can't make your 4G system and phones work correctly, then don't roll out 4G..simple as that.  Why don't they have to issue recalls like other companies?? They aren't giving us what we pay for! 

My rant is over..  I am going to be switching networks.

A good Suggestion Mine was Coughing at the Bit While i was on the 4G switching from blue to White then to 3 then back to 4 while over in Wichita that's why i mentioned in my Post and i didn't matter what i Done And what i done was two Soft Reset's i tried using restore Connectivity. But to avail it did start working properly till i left Wichita an Sedgwick,Co an it's 4G.!!

mithmal you so right having 3G is faster than no connection. I got a new

sim card and no difference. Even sitting next to a tower it happens. It's

very frustrating to be using Google maps for navigation the loose

connection.

Have you gave a hard reset a thought to exclude a software or app issue?

I did that a few times with the first phone and then once on the second phone. Didn't change a thing.

I was looking at the new data plans and i might just go with a tablet in the near future. It will be cheaper then a phone and since i don't talk much on my phone a tablet may be the way to go. You can use a tablet to talk and text on thru Skype, Google voice etc.  Only thing is i have unlimited data now and would lose that if i change my plan or go to a tablet.

On the New Plans your Talking an Texting is Unlimited an the Data is Shared But if a person does some Figuring the New plans have some good Merit..b33

True but i don't talk much on the phone and I have unlimited text now. You can also get both for free from Google voice, Skype, ETC on a tablet. I know its not the same for voice quality but its getting better. I pay almost 140 for 2 phones and if i went to 2 tablets with the DATA ONLY plan with 8GB of data to share it would only be about 76 if you include Verizon fees and taxes. If i went to 10GB of shared data it would be about 86. Still way cheaper then the plan i have now and since we only use about 6-8GB of data a month this might be right up my alley. I just hope the price of tablets comes down or i wont be doing anything with my plan and may leave Verizon when the time is right.

I'm still taking this change will remove Friend and Family option also since they seem to be going unlimited text and talk..

A Rep over at Wichita said plans are Kind of Going Back to like how the Old Alltel Plans were an Yup it will Remove the F.Fam. since going to Unlimited Talk & Text..

Actually that seemed to be the time I started having my data bug on my TB... I really am not getting why this seems to be a common bug..

If I had to guess I would assume the updating of the devices radios during updates could be the nature of issue.... But this would be the developers bug not Verizon's....

Hope that this gets worked out soon.

Been having the 4G go from Blue to white for about two weeks. It had been fine all weekend and now this afternoon started again. I wish VZW or Google would admit what is going on. I happen to have a Bionic but it's across platforms, do an internet search many are experiencing  the white blue toggle indicating intermittant connection to the Google servers.

I agree with EricB someone needs to step up and admit an error and fix it.

After a new sim card I get the same thing going from blue to white over and

over and over. When it stays up I try to max out the download by getting

multiple movies at the same time.
