I noticed this has been happening with my phone for some time now, and often the notifications will not be displayed until I plug the phone in to be charged. This is not good, as I rely on the voice mail to stay aware of medical appointments and job updates. I noticed this topic in the Apple forum also, but mine is a Motorola Droid Z Force.
