I recently bought a Razr HD. Can the "intelligent merge" be disabled? I have approximately 3600 contacts but in "people" only about 3000 are displayed. I've researched this and found my phone uses "intelligent merge". Well it ain't INTELLIGENT!!! Many of the merged contacts are unrelated. I am intelligent enough to combine contacts if I want. They call these smart phones, not. If this were a smart phones it would allow me to do want I want, manage things my way.
I know I can edit each merged contact to un-merge them but this is not practical. There is no list showing which contacts have been merged. Additional, if I have to wipe out the contacts and re-load from the app I use then I will have to un-merge individually all over again. What a mess.
