Not yet. Even though it says available. Even with upgrade assistant I get nothing. Really peeved since I bought the phone a week ago on the day it supposedly dropped

ATHLON399, I know there is much anticipation about the update. They do take time to condition to your phone. This is done so that your phone doesn't crash with everyone trying to update at once. If the software update shows as available, but won't work, please restart your phone and try again.
Keep us updated.

No, even though the auto and manual instructions are out on Verizon's website. Ugh!!!! Cannot wait until the M10 comes out!

Verizon needs to tell us Marshmallow:
1) It is available and is being rolled out (Verizon web site states 3-1-2016 as available date) on the Droid Turbo 2.
or
2) tell us it has been delayed (3-1-2016 is incorrect) and fix their web site by providing customers the correct release date for Marshmallow on the Droid Turbo 2.
So far all we have gotten is conflicting information...

.....and, it is frustrating when you shell out $325+ per month for 6 lines, and they drag their feet on software updates! Check out all the tech websites regarding their feet-dragging....Android Central, Phone Arena, Phone Dog, C/Net, etc.

No kidding. Couldn't wait to get rid of my GalaxyS5 because Samsung/Verizon updates took forever. And now......waiting again. Only now it's for Motorola/Verizon. Have never rooted phones before, but it may be time to tackle it. Would solve bloatware issues as well.

Buy a Nexus phone to have quick updates.

I just looked at the Verizon web site and it appears they do not offer Nexus.
Do we have to switch carriers to get a Nexus?
I would love to let Google have control over the updates vs Verizon. My Chromebook gets updated on a regular basis where my phone is always behind on Security updates.
I find it funny that Verizon locks the phone and bootloader tight but totally ignores Google Security updates,

You buy the Nexus phone directly from Google or from third party sites like Amazon or Best Buy. By not having Verizon or the other carriers sell the phones, Google keeps better control over the updates and inventory.

Hi Kjbales,
Verizon Wireless and Motorola want you to have the best device experience. New device software releases can be exciting. The Marshmallow 6.0 update has been released for the Turbo 2, please keep in mind that software updates releases in cycles. You should have the update prompt shortly http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/motorola-droid-turbo-2-update/ , if you do not receive the prompt please use the software update assistant tool. We would never want you to root your phone per it voids the manufacturer warranty.
Thanks,

I got mine, and all looks good so far, but still no message "badges" (the little red ball in upper right of app icon on screen showing unread messages for facebook, outlook, gmail, etc.) Guess I got spoiled having them on my last 3 Samsung phones, and it's not a priority for Verizon or Motorola.....

That is a Samsung customization. It isn't on the stock Android. If you really want the "unread" badges, I would suggest sticking with Samsung or the fruit phones. Personally I despise the "unread" badges.
