The short answer is yes you have a phone/ software problem (bad phone). Is there a so called fix, I think not. It is not the norm for a properly working new device to be requiring a new sim once a week or so. I would send that phone back in for service and request a "new phone" NOT a recondition headache.

There is a New Update that just came out check your phone to see if it is there.. Go to Settings or take your finger and swipe from the top down to go to settings from there scroll up to go to about phone.. Look for system updates and update make sure you have a Fully charged battery. and if possible a good signal

Try Switching between Global and LTE/CDMA mode. Once i got the Advanced Calling update I saw a HUGE improvement in Bandwidth and also in Signal Strength
