My dt2 will not charge. I have had this phone for a little over a month. It was a replacement because my last dt2 quit recognizing the turbo charger. Does anyone else have this problem? It says it's charging but several hours ago I plugged it in at 25% and now it's at 4%.

I took it into Verizon and I was sent a new phone. This phone already holds a charge longer than the first replacement I was given. They assumed the battery was bad.

Have you tried a different charger or cable?

Yes I have recently started having that problem too. As well as many other problems with the Turbo 2. Wish I had never bought it. My old old old Samsung was better and more reliable.

Snowgirl75,
Being able to charge your device up is a must! Do you recall when this started happening with your devices (original & replacement)? Did anything change on them before it began: any software updates or new apps downloaded? What is the software version on your device currently: Apps > Settings > About phone > System version

I have the same issues and I don't have time for this.
MM was working fine until I received the small update about 4 days ago.
A $650 phone that is defected should be replaced with a new phone, not a refurbished phone that someone might have potentially not taken care of.
Regardless what is the status of this issue? I spoke with Verizon Level 2 support yesterday for hours. After all that, they literally told me that if they gave me a new phone I would have the same issue because it's a software issue.
I'm about done with this as I need my phone for business.

My new phone is working properly even after the new update. The second
phone I received apparently had a bad battery from the start. I do agree
with you that it should be a new phone especially since I just bought my
original the end of December.

Apparently the phones are effected differently. My mom's phone went out first, then my sister's. However when they did have the issue, it wouldn't charge with a corded charger but WOULD charge with a wireless charger. Anyway, I have the same phone and have yet to have the issue and have downloaded the update myself. Verizon says it's something in the update.

I have th me same problem. Started after the marshmallow update. Won't charge over 40% and it loses battery while on the charger ended though it shows its charging. Phone is only 4 months old and is now useless yet Verizon will make me keep it for two years. Verizon did this to me with my last phone as well. May be time to switch to ATT.

its a known issue. my droid turbo 2 is doing the same thing. it recently updated which may be the cause (this is a common issue with droid turbo 2 apparently) ive done all the trouble shooting that Verizon recommends, I guess the next step is get it replaced.

cool, how long did it take to get the replacement? Did you have to go without a phone in between that time?

I went into the Verizon store Wednesday around 4 PM and the new phone was
on my porch when I got home from work at 12:30 pm Thursday. No I did not
have to go without my phone although I had to deal with the phone not
charging in between. You just get a refurbished phone in a box and then you
put the old one back in the box to send back. You just have to do it off at
UPS store.

My mom and sister both had this issue with their DT2. when they went to Verizon, they were told it is the update. I have the same phone and have not had this issue as of now. It is effecting phones differently. Their phones didn't do it at the same time.
Anyway, they contacted Motorola and told Motorola about the issue. When they talked to Motorola, they were given a case number...They then took the case number into Verizon and Verizon replaced their phones...This only works if you have insurance on your phone. But as long as you do, this is the easiest way to go about the issue and receiving a replacement.

I did the latest 24.14.12 kinzey OTA 6.0 upgrade last Thursday. Absolutely no issues charging with the Verizon QI Wireless, Turbo or through the USB cable and my laptop. So far I haven't had an issue of any kind after the update.
