The Xoom doesnt natively support out of the box flash/flv/swf files
You can add this by downloading the adobe flash in the apps
To enable other file/video content playback simply download the rockplayer- you can avoid the ads by simply navigating to your video files via a file manager.
I added avi movie files to my external sd card that I recently added to the Xoom, book marked the folder (external1), and then simply click the movie/video files I want to watch/playback via rock player.
