All of the sudden my Xoom on 4.04 is unable to get any updates. "Error retrieving information from server. [RPC:AEC:0]."
Solutions?
Hmmm... Ok, off to the store I suppose.
Hi KLRSKIR!
I want you to be able to complete updates on your XOOM device! Though you mentioned you would be visiting a store, I'd still like to give you some steps to try. Below I have provided you with steps on how to complete a soft reset and a master reset. Please do the soft reset, then see if you can complete the update. If not, please try the master reset. If completing the master reset, please back up the data on the device first. Here are the links for you:

Thanks much for the reply. It took a factory reset to get it back in a working state. Even replaced the simcard. This was a totally unknown issue. Thanks again!
Forgive me for interjecting into this thread- but just wanted to say I was also
experiencing a similiar problem; Ice Cream Sandwich had frozen during its
install on my brand new Xoom on Day One of boot up (today.) I used the
directions for "Soft Reset" and that unfroze everything and the update began
again- to its perfect completion! This simple trick was a BIG help.
I bought my Xoom from an internet third party, and though it was a new unit,
it arrived with absolutely no paperwork, not even a "quick start guide" and
with a dead battery. I did get it going, and then it froze with the IMM767 update.
Then- unfroze with the help of the excellent Christina B of VZW support!
Thanks again.
