Recently while using Google Maps to navigate, the application turned itself off without any user intervention. The first time I needed to use Google Maps to navigate somewhere, I didn't keep the phone plugged in and obviously running Google Maps ran the battery down pretty quickly. This time, from the time I left my starting point until I got home, I kept the phone plugged in. I think that Google Maps turned off when the phone displayed a message stating that the battery was fully charged and to unplug the phone. The problem is that at that the time that the app shut down, I wasn't actually home yet and still needed directions. I'd like to know if in fact the alert about the battery being fully charged actually caused Google Maps to stop running or if something else happened.
