I have a Motorola Edge phone and use Verizon as our carrier. About a month ago was notified that they are doing away with their text message app, Message+. It was suggested we change to Google Messages. Did that on my phone and my wifes. When in our vehicles (Toyotas) we get immediate notification of an incoming text message on the info-center as before. I think that I have her phone working in her car well enough that it will send text messages out most of the time but will not work in my truck with my phone. I have responded to a few spam texts easily, but if I try to respond to my wifes texts it says "Message failed to send, try again?" over and over. I have tried tons of different settings and searched high and low on the net to see if I could find a resolution. Went to Verizon and upon realizing I wasn't going to buy a new phone he told me not their problem, call Toyota. Called Verizon 611, told me to call Google. Kind of frustrating as I get every inbound text on the info-center in my truck, just cannot send from the truck. Has anyone else run into something similar and what was your solution? I'd even change the app for text messages if I thought I could get one dependable that would work.
