I have a brand new Moto Z Droid and can not get bluetooth to turn on at all.
From the Settings screen, tapping the bluetooth icon, the slide will move to the right but stays grayed out and statement says bluetooth ON.
Within about 10 seconds the slide moves back to the left and states bluetooth OFF.
I have downloaded the latest system updates but still have the same bluetooth issue.
Any suggestions or help resolving this problem will be appreciated. Thank you!

Thanks for getting back to me regarding this matter. After installing the
latest software updates, researching, troubleshooting the problem, l
returned the phone to the Verizon place of purchase. They did more
troubleshooting followed by a factory reset. None of the efforts solved the
Bluetooth issue.
They exchanged the phone for a new Moto Z Droid which works perfectly.
Thanks again.
Regards,
Steve

MTMTNHIGH,
Thank you for checking in with us on the device forums. We're very sorry to hear about the trouble your experiencing with the device's bluetooth. We know a malfunctioning phone can be quite frustrating. This is sounding like it will either be a hardware issue, or a problem with the OS. Have you tried a factory reset of the device? I would recommend giving that a try if not. However, if this does not work I would recommend one of two things. If you've had the phone for 14 days or less, I would return to the location of purchase for an exchange. If you purchased it from us by phone or online, or if you have had it for more than 14 days, just give us a call at 1-800-922-0204 and we'll see what's going on with it and get everything sorted out ASAP.
