How do I back up text messages to my computer?

I need help either copy and past or backing up text messages. I have over 3000 from 1 person that need backed up

If you use gmail check out SMS Backup + - Android Apps on Google Play it will automatically backup your sms to your gmail account labeled and everything, works flawlessly for me.
