You can access the options for the camera resolution in the settings wheel per the instructions given in your other very similar thread. I lost the settings wheel for the camera. How do I get it back?

Which phone model do you have? The resolution of the camera is changed in the camera application settings. Precise instructions can only be provided after you disclose which phone model you have.

Thanks for your help. The link you posted shows the kind of thing I was expecting to find on my camera but, best I can tell, it just isn't there. Overall the setting features on my camera are very limited, either that or I'm just not finding them.

im waiting for the same trick. as i lknow, the resolution can be changed only by selecting the size of the file as its taken and viewed. 16;9 ys default. in mu use, larger files sizes, may produce granier pics. its a great question you have. im gonna wait too.
