How do I delete al the emails in my inbox without having to delete them individually?

I want to delete all the emails in my inbox but I can't find a select all option to allow this.  do I have to delete them individually?

There isn't a 'select all' option.  With the stock e-mail app inbox open, long-press a message and you should see a check mark appear on the far left-hand side of the message.  Long-press each message accordingly that you want to delete so that check marks are on each of them.  Then tap the trash can at the top of the inbox.
