You need to sign into the new phone with the same Gmail address. You can also sign into the Google Play website from a computer and push all the applications back to the phone.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Provided you set your MAXX up with the same gmail account, then all you have to do is go to http://play.google.com
and login with that gmail address, and it will show you every app you ever downloaded to your phone, and then you can choose what apps from there that you want to push to the new phone. You can also browse other apps and push them to the phone also, that is how I do alot of my apps, rather than through the play store on the phone.

Also, once your market app updates to the play store on your phone, you can open it, then press menu>my apps. This will bring up all the apps you have on your phone. From here, swipe right, and you can see all the apps you have ever installed (the same list that shows on the website).

Others have given you the answer, can I offer a suggestion?
Titanium backup is popular with lots of people for backing up apps to sdcard which can then be restored.
The option of being able to make a backup of my apps, much faster restore than waiting to download all of them, My own preference is for MyBackUp Pro though, not Titanium.

Titanium wont work on stock rims because it requires root access..
My Backup is a better option for a user with a stock OS or you can use ES File Explorer free from the Play Store to backup and restore apps.

I usually use the "send" button on the mobile version to get the desktop link for a discussion thread. It seems to work better with Gmail then with the Email application.
