I work for a store that sold the Moto G Play. My sister and I have been looking for smartphones and we ended up buying it due to it being the cheapest one in stock. We bought to give to a 7 year old as a play phone. When I say play phone, where he would just use it on wifi to watch YouTube, download games. When we turn it on and begin to set it up, the phone tries to get us to pay for a plan that has calling and data which is what we don't want. We would love to active it without a plan as it was just bought to be played games using wifi

Hi there, Raventesso. We definitely want to make sure that you're able to use your device and are happy to shed some light on your concerns. To clarify, is there an option to use Wi-Fi only on the phone? Where was the device purchased?

I've had the same problem and there's no option to access Wi-Fi after selecting my language and clicking start it takes me to screen where it tells me to add a Sim so I put a Verizon sim into the phone and it is still not working there is no option to skip it

There should be an option to skip the activation near the bottom of the screen. ~Peter

Hello Bianca42. We would love to help. Is the device damaged? Was this for prepaid service or were you attempting to get it set up on your monthly account? What device did you purchase? -Joe
